Kathleen Suzanne Carlise, 76, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2026. Born on December 28, 1949, in Bloomington, Kathleen spent her childhood growing up in Douglas before attending Northern Arizona University. After college, she made her home in Phoenix, where she dedicated 32 years of service working for the City of Phoenix. Following retirement, Kathleen settled in Chandler, where she enjoyed the later years of her life surrounded by family, friends, and the comforts she loved most.
Kathleen was many things to many people, a loving mother, proud grandmother, loyal friend, caring neighbor, and someone who always tried to help others whenever she could. She had a huge heart and quietly supported causes close to her soul, including the ASPCA, Humane Society of the United States, and St. Mary's Food Bank.
Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her only grandchild, Kegan. Whether they were playing board games, talking hockey, or chatting about school, those moments meant everything to her. Kathleen also loved the simple joys in life, playing Texas Hold’em online, watching her favorite murder mystery shows on Investigation Discovery, and hunting for the best deals on QVC.
Anyone who knew Kathleen knew she was also incredibly strong-willed. She was stubborn in the best possible way, a fighter who somehow always found a way to give life the middle finger whenever it tried to knock her down. That strength, humor, and resilience left a lasting impression on everyone lucky enough to know her.
Kathleen will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of her family and friends.
