Kendra Lynn Parton

Kendra Lynn Parton, age 20, of Mesa, passed away on May 9, 2012 and is now in the arms of our Heavenly Father.

She was born to David and Wendy Parton on March 12, 1992, in Mesa. Kendra graduated with honors from Mountain View High School in 2010. She attended Scottsdale Community College on a scholarship and was scheduled to graduate with an AA Degree in Equine Science. She was also a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.

Kendra’s life long passion was her love for horses. She found peace spending years at Tyler Farms grooming, bathing and exercising several horses and found the most joy in riding her favorite horse, Mojo. She had a special bond with Mojo and many times she would refer to him as “her four-legged boyfriend.” She was awarded many ribbons in several horse shows with him.

She also received a community service award on her high school diploma for her time and community service at Therapy Zone, working with horses and autistic children. She had recently finished her college internship at Los Cedros, one of the finest horse training facilities in Scottsdale, where she was selected to intern with Manuel Trigo.

Kendra’s other passion was her love for art. She was an accomplished artist with a special talent for pencil art and won several awards for her work in high school.

Kendra was a true gift to her parents and brother. We were blessed to have 20 wonderful years with our precious daughter and sister. With Kendra’s passing we remind others that her life is one to be celebrated. Although we will miss her every day, especially her beautiful smile and tender touch, she will forever remain in our hearts.

Kendra is survived by her loving parents, Dave and Wendy; brother Shane; her grandparents Byron and Bettye Parton, Robert Sinclair and Sue Sinclair; Uncle Normie, Aunt Kim, Uncle Greg, Aunt Les and Uncle John; cousins Joshua, Tyler, John Ryan and many friends.

A celebration of Kendra’s life will be on May 19, 2012 at 4 pm at Gilbert Presbyterian Church, 235 E. Guadalupe Rd. Gilbert AZ 85234.
