Former resident of Superior, AZ since November of 2021. He lived in Three Rivers, MI prior to that.
Born on August 24, 1947, in Sturgis, MI to Daniel Denzel Hoyt and Betty Jane Hoyt (McMillan)
K.J. formerly served in the U.S. Army. He was a truck driver by trade.
He was active in his community of Superior, AZ before his passing. He was a member of the Superior Arizona Chamber of Commerce where he would volunteer his time to help at the food bank and welcomed folks at the Visitor’s Center. He was also a member of the Superior Optimist Club in Superior, AZ. He made some dear friends while living this short time in Arizona and he was known as a smiling face in their community.
He loved golfing and even though he did not golf anymore, he still loved to watch games on television. He loved music, mainly classic rock. He always enjoyed dabbling in a little bit of everything such as gardening, wood burning/wood working, coin collecting, metal detecting, swimming/ snorkeling/scuba diving. When he was younger, he kept himself very busy with side jobs like snow plowing, garden tilling, and carpet cleaning.
K.J. is survived by his children Anthony Caudle, Abigail Hoyt, and Hannah Eckstein. Sisters Judith McDowell and Donna Furlong. Preceded in death by his parents and his brother Tommy Hoyt.
