Gilbert, AZ --- LeRoy S. Carter, passed on January 31, 2012, born in Calais, ME, July 2, 1936, the son of Gerald and Mae Carter. He leaves behind his wife of 51 years, Paula Carter; daughter, Jenny and son-in-law Allen Guptill of Baileyville, ME; son Troy Carter of Chandler, AZ; grandson Joshua Guptill, Tenn; granddaughter, Alicia Guptill and great granddaughter, Karleigh Smith, of Levant, ME. Sister, Mary Gordon, Calais, ME, Joan Corey, Marboro, MA, sister-in-law, Nancy Carter and several nieces and nephews. He retired from Georgia Pacific Pulp and Paper Co with 34 years of service. Roy was honorably discharged after serving his country in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years. For those whose wish to attend, a remembrance service will be held for friends, conducted by Pastor Ed Stutz at the Faith Family Fellowship Church on 20913 E. Ocotillo Rd, in Queen Creek, AZ on Sat., Feb 11, 2012 at 2:00 pm. The family requests that those who wish to contribute in his memory in lieu of flowers may do so to the American Cancer Society, Arizona Div., or the Faith Family Fellowship Baptist Church, P.O.
