Lois Myhre Williamson

Lois M. Williamson, 96 of Tempe, AZ passed away on Wednesday morning, June 8, 2016. Lois was born on May 22, 1920 in Wilkinsburg, PA (Pittsburg) to Milton Louis Pratt and Thelma Lois Pratt (McKaige). Milton was a WWI Army veteran and made his living as a salesman. Thelma was a homemaker. In 1926, Lois was joined by a baby brother, Milton Louis Pratt, Jr. Lois graduated from Wilkinsburg High School in 1937. She then went on to graduate from Secretarial College and worked as an executive secretary. Lois soon married Arnold Myhre and while their marriage was brief, her daughter, Marilynn, was born and was the light of her life. Lois later met and married Harold "Hal" Williamson and she had two more children, Deborah and Keith, making her family complete. Lois and Hal, a WWII veteran and officer in the Air Force, lived all around the world while they raised their children. They moved to Sacramento, CA in 1967 and settled there following Hal's retirement from Mather Air Force Base. Hal died in April, 1994. Lois moved to Tempe, AZ in the spring of 2002 and enjoyed apartment living at Friendship Village, a retirement community. She was near her son and his family in Tempe as well as her brother, Milt and his wife, Lois, who lived in Tucson and her brother-in-law, Glenn Williamson and his wife Sara of Green Valley, AZ. Milt died in Oct., 2004 and Glenn died in Oct., 2007. Lois lived a very full and wonderfully long life. She is leaving behind a loving family who she adored: Her daughter Marilynn (Ken) Pysher of New York, daughter Deborah (Walter) Sims of North Carolina and son Keith (Laura) of Arizona; her grandchildren Amber (Chris) Phelps of North Carolina, Bethany (John) Siebert of North Carolina, Colin and Trevor Williamson of Arizona; and her great grandchildren Riley and Liam Phelps and Eliza and Nathaniel Siebert of North Carolina. A service for Lois will be held in Tempe on Monday, June 13, 2016 at 1:00 pm. Friendship Village, Health Care Center Community Room, Garden Level 2525 E. Southern Avenue Tempe, AZ 85282.
