

She was born in Chicago,IL on 05/03/1936 to Paul and Sophie Basler.
Lydia graduated from Lourdes High School, where she met her long time cherished friends.
She started an X-ray technician business and Lester an auto parts business on Western Ave. in Chicago, IL, they met at a cafe nearby they both frequented for lunch.
She was married to Lester on July 26, 1959 in Chicago, IL.
They then moved to Highland Park, IL where they raised a family and where long time residents.
Lydia graduated from the Evanston School of Nursing in 1981 where she enjoyed a long time loving career in nursing.
She had a passion for family, nature, and animals many of which she rescued, she loved to take nature walks and listen to the birds. Some of her favorite flowers are Lily of the Valley and Lilacs. She also loved her music and chocolate.
Lydia will be sorely missed and is survived by Karen, Mindy and Mark (Ilyse) Citron her children and her siblings Marcy Senkerik and Curtis Basler, along with her cat Sparky.
