I am so sorry to hear of Madou’s recent passing and sending my heartfelt condolences to you and the entire family. I tried calling as I desperately tried getting in touch with you, but the last number I had, was disconnected.  I do hope this note finds you well and in the best of health.  I miss you Mrs. T. Just found out when I called Julien to see if he was ok from Hurricane Ian. He told me you passed away...my condolences to your family.

Dear Irma I am deeply saddened to find out that Mr Madou passed.  I called but the number is disconnect.  Mr Madou was such a wonderful person and we will surely miss him. May god keep you safe. Shanta 

One of my fondest memories of our dear Uncle is riding the Q5A bus with him to Jamaica Ave when I was a teenager.
He was still learning how to speak English and carried with him a French-to-English dictionary. 
We truly made use of it on the way to “The Ave” having fun trying to communicate with each other.
With his tall stature and booming voice, our Uncle always commanded any room he entered.
I will always remember being in awe of this towering African man with this deep resonance in his voice. His was always a voice of strength, reason, and compassion. He was the perfect match for our Auntie Irma .
His constant question to me was “Buddy, when are you going to get a wife?”.
I’m still trying  Uncle.
I just can’t seem to find anyone willing to put up with me.

Dear Uncle, I will truly miss hearing your booming voice but I will keep you in my heart always.

I remember most of all when we first met when you came to the United States and was introduced to us by Aunt Irma. I immediately gravitated to your presence and was visibility devastated when you left to go back to Paris. I was truly blessed to have you as my uncle. You were always there for me when I had disagreements  with my father and made understand that he always wanted the best for us.   You were always the voice of reason. I will eternally be grateful to have had you in my life. Sleep in Peace Uncle! You will be missed dearly . 💔.   Love ❤️  Your nephew Eugene 

Uncle Madou,
I have so many fond  memories of you growing up and right  up until this day. I still have have the colored pencil set you gave to me as a child while you and Aunty Irma were living in Rosedale. How fortunate I am to call you My Uncle Madou. To say I am heartbroken is putting it lightly. May you transition in peace and know just how much you are loved now and forever. Say hi to mom and dad for me.
