

Manuel M. Pena, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and U.S. Air Force veteran, passed away peacefully at the age of 88. He was born on September 19, 1936, in Mesa, Arizona.
Manuel proudly served in the United States Air Force as an Aircraft Traffic Controller, contributing to the safety and efficiency of military operations. After serving in the military, he had a successful career as a sheet metal worker.
In 1962, Manuel married the love of his life, Helen Miranda Pena. Together, they built a loving family and raised four daughters: Natalie Daniels (Danny Daniels), Antoinette Pena (George H. Pena), Cynthia Pena, and Anna Gonzales (Mike Gonzales). Manuel was most proud of building a family home, a place where four generations of family, extended loved ones, and friends have gathered and created cherished memories throughout the years.
His legacy is carried on by his children and grandchildren, William Bello (Vanessa Bello), Manuel Bello, Daniel Daniels (Ana Daniels), Desseri Daniels, Lauren Jeroski (Jason Jeroski), George H. Pena Jr., Miranda Pena, Josh Gonzales, Marc Esparza, Carlos Pena, Neveah Esparza, and his great-grandchildren, Mylah, Elena, Milly, Devin, and Remi. He will be fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched with his kindness, generosity, and dedication.
Manuel was known for his strong work ethic, sense of humor, devotion to his family, and passion for serving his country. He was a man of integrity, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. His contributions, both as a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, have left an indelible mark on his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel C. Pena of Guanajuato, Mexico, and Eliosa Munoz of Sonora, Mexico; his beloved wife, Helen Pena; his daughter, Cynthia Pena; and his brothers, Danny and Adolf Pena.
Manuel will be greatly missed by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends.
A visitation will be held at Advantage Melcher Chapel of the Roses on Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 8:00am-9:30am. Following the Visitation will be a Funeral Service at Queen of Peace Catholic Church from 10:00AM-11:00AM. He will be laid to rest at City of Mesa Cemetery at 11:30am.
A family reception will follow services at the house of Manuel and Helen Pena.
