Margaret "Peggy" Campos

Margaret Kathleen Campos "Peggy" age 84 passed away peacefully in her home in Mesa AZ surrounded by her loving family on May 12, 2025 after a year long battle with cancer. She is post-deceased 5 weeks by her most beloved eldest daughter Kathleen Anne Campos age 62, survived by her two sisters: Nora Loucks and Francis Taylor, her three children: Theresa Campos, Lisa Holland, and only son Michael Campos, and two grandchildren: Forrest Holland and Reed Holland.

Peggy was born Margaret Kathleen Burns on October 29th,1940 in Washington Pennsylvania to Margaret and John Burns. She graduated from East Washington High School in 1958 and graduated from St. John's General Hospital's School of Nursing in Pittsburgh in 1961. She married Dr. Rodolfo Martinez Campos and had four children. Her first daughter Kathleen was born in New Jersey where Rudy completed his orthopedic surgical residency. They then lived in the Philippines for three years with Rudy's family where Theresa and Lisa were born. They returned back to the United States and Peggy gave birth to her son Michael in Pennsylvania, completing their family. They moved to Arizona in 1970 where Peggy lived out her life.

Peggy spent 23 years working as a Nurse Supervisor at The Beatitudes, then became an Infection Control Consultant, providing in-service trainings for nursing homes and hospitals. She had a passion for dance and spent her retirement ballroom dancing and competing all over the country winning various awards. She was kind, generous and compassionate. Peggy was dedicated to her children. She loved traveling, going to Tea, movies, the theater, symphony and the ballet.

Memorial services will be held on Sunday, July 13th at 2:00pm at Lakeshore Mortuary, 1815 S. Dobson Rd, Mesa, AZ.
