

Chandler, Arizona – Margaret Ann King was born September 4, 1931, at Westley Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Alfred Dodge Hill and Frances Sorey Hill. Margaret passed on June 7, 2025, at 93 years of age. She died peacefully in her home, where family had been with her during her passing. Margaret attended Wilson grade school, Harding Junior High, and Classen High School in Oklahoma City. Her last two years of high school were spent at Gulf Park College in Gulf Park Mississippi. Margaret graduated there in 1949 and returned to Oklahoma to attend Oklahoma State University. She graduated from OSU in 1953 with a degree in Home Economics. While attending OSU, Margaret pledged Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. After graduation Margaret went to work in Oklahoma City for Oklahoma Natural Gas Co. as a home economist. Margaret married Fred (Ted) King in 1955 at Westminster Presbyterian Church. Margaret has two sons from her and Ted’s marriage, Fred King, born in 1956 and Ross King, born in 1958. Margaret and family moved to Scottsdale, Arizona in 1972. Margaret loved living in Arizona but also missed her friends and family from Oklahoma City. Margaret loved her work in sales for 27 years with Finley Fine Jewelry in Scottsdale, AZ located in Goldwater’s and Robinson’s May. Margaret is survived by her sons Fred and Ross; Fred’s wife, Kelly and daughter in law Maria King; Grandchildren Corbin, Dustin, Hollie, Meghan, and Ashley; eleven Great Grandchildren; her brother, Dodge Hill and his wife, Lori, niece and nephews, Patrick, Laura, Mark and David. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ted King. The family wants to express special appreciation for Tarantino Senior Living and Memory Care and its caregivers who have cared for Margaret over the past three years, always with extraordinary love and tender care. A Celebration of Life for Margaret will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, August 1, 2025, at Mission Community Church, 4450 East Elliot Road, Gilbert, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
