Marilyn Eleanor McLaughlin passed away peacefully on August 13, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of love, kindness, and cherished memories. She was born on December 22, 1949, in Alliance, Ohio, to Delmar and Doris Faverty. She was married to the love of her life, Terry, for nearly 55 years.
Marilyn was a loving and caring woman whose home was always open to family and friends. She had a warm smile and a kind word for everyone she met. She welcomed all with an open heart and had a special gift for making friends wherever she went. Her genuine kindness made people feel comfortable, valued, and loved.
She found great joy in crafting and making handmade cards. She never forgot a birthday, anniversary, holiday, or other special date, and she celebrated those moments by creating and sending a card made especially for someone she cared about. It was one of the many ways she showed people how much they meant to her.
Marilyn was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who cherished her family above all else. She is survived by her son, Chris; her daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Dennis Anderson; and her beloved granddaughters, Kaylee, Abigail, and Ava. She is also survived by her older brother, Kenny Faverty, along with his children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Terry, who passed away two years ago; her parents, Delmar and Doris; and her younger brother, Frank.
Marilyn’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her, especially her children and grandchildren, who will forever carry her love, kindness, and beautiful example with them.
A celebration of Marilyn’s life will be held for family and friends on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at SanTan Brewery in Chandler, Arizona. An open house will be held from noon to 3:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that you consider making a donation to Hospice of the Valley, whose compassionate and impeccable care brought comfort to Marilyn and her family during her final days.
