Edward John and Amalie (Gysi) Burton in Los Angeles. Marvin served from 1958-1960 in the
Great Lakes Mission and married a companion’s sister, Velda Light, in the Salt Lake Temple on
October 6, 1961. They began their family in Utah and moved to Los Angeles in 1968 and
Maryland in 1984 where Marvin was made a temple sealer; he later performed marriages for
several grandchildren. In 1994, they settled in Arizona and, soon after, served a temple mission
in Orlando, Florida. Marvin’s life exemplified service to God and family. He is survived by his
wife, Velda, Brother Howard, six children, 33 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents and one grandson. Viewing at Lakeshore Mortuary, April 28th
