Mary was the youngest of 6 children born to Gilbert and Mary Skelton.
She is preceded in death by husband Philip Ralph Eggstaff, and son David Boring.
Mary married John Boring in 1951 and became a military wife and working mother. Together they had 3 children; son Michael, daughter Vicky and son David. In 1968 they settled in Scottsdale upon retiring from USMC. In the early 70’s Mary joined the Boys Clubs of Scottsdale as a Secretary/Gal Friday along with two other employees in a small house on Osborn. She and Sally Veazey were instrumental in starting fundraising “Rummage Sales” and later the Boutique workshops to teach and make crafts for sale. These efforts morphed into the major fundraising Holiday Luncheon that is held each November. Mary married Philip Eggstaff in 1977 and Phil’s son Greg joined our family. Mary, Phil and daughter Vicky spent years making and selling crafts at various craft shows as well as volunteering at the BGCS Auxiliary.
Survivors include son Mike Boring, his wife Mari Pakay and son Paul and daughter Sarah Tefft, her husband Wesley and two great-grandsons Jamison and Easton; daughter Vicky Stevenson and husband Brad Stevenson; son Greg Eggstaff, his wife Angie and children Jenna and Erik; nieces Normalene Rogers and husband Richard; Tina Newman Notaro, her husband Adrian Notaro and son Kaleb Newman.
