Maverine Blundell

She was born July 24, 1934 in Benson, North Carolina to Malcom and Sarah Rosey Turnage. She was preceded in death by her parents. Maverine loved to cook and enjoyed large family gatherings. She held several odd jobs, but her pride and joy was her last, as a Home Child Care Provider. She loved all the children and treated each as her own. She loved it when they would return for visits and talk about the "good ole days" of their time spent with her. Maverine is survived by her loving husband, Charles, and four sons. Preston K. Tew and wife, Diane, of San Tan Valley, AZ, David E. Tew and wife Caryn, of Mesa AZ, Anthony G. Tew and wife Cheryle, of Yuma, AZ and Stephen D. Tew and wife Cindy, of Flagstaff, AZ. She also has a brother, Glenn Turnage and his wife Jane, of Benson, North Carolina. Maverine has 11 Grand Children and 10 Great Grandchildren. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at the Lakeshore Mortuary, 1815 South Dobson Rd., Mesa, Arizona from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral will follow at the mortuary at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at Arizona Memorial Cemetery in Cave Creek, Arizona. She will be missed and loved by all!
