I did not know Doc, but I know Ida, whose intelligence, work ethnic and strength, no doubt came, at least in part, from her father.  What a wonderful legacy he has left the world through his children and grandchildren.  I believe that I can speak for all of the pathologists when I extend our deepest sympathy to the whole family and wish you comfort in your memories of him.

 Words cannot say how much you are loved and will be missed. Your suddle way of telling me I was wrong and giving me guidance when it was needed and when it wasn't I will miss the times we sat and talked or just watched TV. The things you have taught us through the years will always remain dear in my heart. I know you are in a better place so Rest in peace and know i love you and always will.

Papa, this is to let you know your "favorite" son-in-law misses you and loves you very much. You knew this because I would tell you so and I know you loved me because you would also tell me so.  You worked hard during your physical therapy to get better because you showed us so.  As Nanny, Ida, and I can attest your sense of humor, determined heart and spirit were always at their best.  However, because of what your body had endured these past few months it just was unable to pass that test.  I know were tired and ready to go home because in our quiet time together you would tell me so.  As you became weaker and more tired those last few days you were finally ready for it to all go away.  As you slipped away from us to go home to God, we were sad but knew you were ready for it to be so.  We know God welcomed you in his loving arms to keep you safe and without pain.  So keep watch over us Papa and we will be fine knowing your near all the time.  I love you Papa, Sam

He was one of my mothers brothers.  He was a wonderful man, I am sure he is happy to be spending some time with his parents.  The Flanigan family thought the world of Mayness and his wife Marie.  They were there with my mother throught the good and the bad.  Many of thanks go out to the both of him.  He will be greatly missed by all of us.  We love you guys.  Hope to see you soon.
