Michael (Mike) Lee Jungbluth, age 64, passed away peacefully on March 19th 2019 in Mesa, Arizona. He was born October 13th 1954, in Kansas City, Missouri to Doran and Dorothy Jungbluth. He was the youngest of four brothers. He married his high school sweetheart, Johnnie Fay (Newcomb) Jungbluth on December 7th, 1971 in Globe, Arizona. He worked as a journeyman painter at Arizona State University from 1979 to 2005, when he retired. Mike worked on many painting projects for the university, including the football field in preparation for the annual Fiesta Bowl game, Sun Devil stadium and Gammage Auditorium. Mike truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; smoking a cigarette, drinking a cold beer, listening to music, and spending time with friends and family. Mike was loved and respected by all who met him.
Mike is survived by his wife of 47 years, Johnnie Fay Jungbluth; son Michael (Autumn) Jungbluth and daughter, Janis (Mark) Orona; grandchildren Eric (Joanna), Blayze, Lauren, Jade, Cassidy and Presley; great-grandchildren Rian, Easton and Johnnie; his mother Dorothy (Bob) Runyon; his brothers Jerry (Gisela) Jungbluth and David Jungbluth.
He is preceded in death by his father Doran Jungbluth, his brother Doran Jungbluth and his sister-in-law Gloria Jungbluth.
All whose lives were touched by Mike are invited to the viewing and funeral services located at Advantage Melcher Chapel of the Roses, 43 S. Stapley Drive, Mesa, AZ 85204.
Viewing - Thursday, March 28th from 4-8pm.
Funeral services - Friday, March 29th at 10:00 am.
The burial will be held after the funeral service at Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery, 7900 E. Main St., Mesa, AZ 85207
