On June 11, 1937, our beloved dad, brother, Tio and Tata was born in Miami/Claypool, AZ. He worked several manual labor jobs throughout his life, most notably in the meat packing business for Cudahy Company in Phoenix, as well as Allumax Building Products in Tempe, and Mesa Public Schools, respectively, over the course of six decades.
In his spare time, he simply enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends, making the best steaks one could imagine every Saturday morning for his dad, Juan Tapia. With friends and strangers alike, he always prided himself with making people feel welcome in his presence.
The most important thing in his life was first-and-foremost providing for his family with food on the table and a roof over our head. It was something that he never, ever took for granted.
Dad was preceded in death by his mother Matilde, father Juan, beloved spouse of 40 years, Armida, son Mike, and brothers Pete and Manuel Tapia.
Mike is survived by sisters Jenny Hernandez and spouse Luis, Lupe Espinoza and spouse Manuel, daughter Diane, son Johnnie and daughter-in-law Christine, son Valentin, and grandchildren Michael, Arianna, and Danny.
