Nancy Lea Schroeder

On November 16, 2019, after battling a long illness, Nancy Lea Schroeder, 61, of Mesa, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family. Nancy was born November 12, 1958, in Brooklyn, New York, to John and Lillian (Lendrum) Jarman. In her life, Nancy gracefully balanced her family and career while continuing to pursue her education. Nancy was a graduate of Apollo High School, class of 1976 and she went on to earn her Bachelor's Degree in Communications from Arizona State University; and dual Master Degrees from the University of Phoenix and Ottawa University. After being employed with AT&T for 22 years, she moved on with her gift of teaching and counseling at Mesa Public Schools and Mesa Community College.

To many Nancy will be remembered for her intelligence, kindness, wisdom, honesty, profoundness, understanding, dedication, bravery, faithfulness, strength, resilience, fierce passion, sensibility, beauty, love of dogs, and infectious laugh. Nancy most loved being with her family, friends, and pets. Her loyalty to her husband and daughter knew no bounds.

Nancy was a loving wife, mother, daughter , sister and friend. She is survived by her devoted husband, Bill Schroeder, with whom she shared over 33 years of marriage.

Daughter Jillian, her greatest joy. To Jill she was not only mother but best friend.

Dear sister Cathy Daniels and husband Dave, always close at heart. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Lillian.

Her life was a gift of love and kindness to all whose path she crossed. She will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to share in that love. Godspeed Nancy, God be with us until we meet again.

Services: A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Mariposa Gardens Cemetery Chapel, 6747 E. Broadway Road, (@ Power Road), Mesa, AZ 85206. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, please donate to Arizona Humane Society or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
