January 12, 1949March 20, 2018

Nancy Alice Wild Pash, 69, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away on March 20, 2018 at 6:15 pm surrounded by family. She was born at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois on January 12, 1949 to the late Edward and Alice (Guzior) Figurski. She is survived by her husband, Leonard Pash; children Todd Wild DVM, of Highland, IN and Nicole (Robert) Marsh of New Braunfels, TX; grandchildren, Eric and Adam. Nancy is also survived by three brothers, Richard (Pat), Robert and Thomas; nieces, Julie, Jessica, Kimberly, and Dana; nephews, Steven, Kaii, and John, along with grandnieces, and grandnephews. She is preceded in death by her brother, Ronald.

Nancy grew up on the south side of Chicago and graduated from the South Chicago Community Hospital School of Nursing in 1969 with an RN degree. She worked for a number of years at South Chicago Community Hospital, followed by South Suburban Hospital in Hazel Crest, Illinois. She worked in emergency as well as labor/delivery, but her passion was working in the neonatal nursery. After moving to the Phoenix region in 2010, she worked in the nursery at Banner Ironwood for a few years.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, cooking, Disney vacations, bible study, playing “Words with Friends” on her phone and watching movies. Nancy especially loved the Christmas holiday season. Baking Christmas cookies for friends and relatives was a tradition that she cherished. She also often enjoyed reminiscing about her experiences as an owner of standardbred race horses in the 1980’s and 1990’s.

Her kind heart, warm smile, contagious laugh and selfless nature brightened and enriched the lives of all that had the pleasure of meeting her. She was loved and will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends. No services are scheduled at this time. A memorial service is being planned for this summer in the Chicagoland area. Sympathy cards can be directed to Nicole Marsh, 2211 Stonehaven, New Braunfels, TX 78130. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Standardbred Retirement Foundation (
