She was born on October 12, 1954 in the Cholon neighborhood of Saigon, Vietnam. In 1989, Nhi immigrated to the United States.
Nhi is fondly remembered for her gentleness, kindness, quick sense of humor, and commitment to her family. She enjoyed spending her time cooking, learning new recipes, and of course eating and sharing the delicious outcomes of her cooking endeavors. She also had exceptional sewing skills, which she enjoyed using to make clothes and, most recently, fashionable face masks for her daughters. She found joy in her walks around the neighborhood and her Hong Kong dramas, often staying up into the early hours of the morning watching episodes and snacking on persimmons.
Nhi is survived by two daughters, Gabrielle Scullard and Abigail Scullard, as well as her brothers, sisters, and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Melcher Mortuary Chapel of the Roses on June 28, 2024 at 2pm.
Nhi will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the honor of knowing her.
