

Patricia Louise White, 77, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away November 30, 2014. She was born in Paterson, New Jersey, on October 6, 1937. Pat/Patty/Patricia graduated from Trenton State Teachers College with a B.A. in elementary education. She moved from New Jersey to Arizona where she met and then married Ean K. White on November 23, 1962. Patricia taught school for a few years before leaving to start her family. She was the best mom ever to her four children. In her 40s she returned to college and earned her degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked as a nurse for over 20 years, first with Casa Blanca Clinic and later with Desert View Family Medicine. Pat was a charter member of Grace United Methodist Church and was actively involved in the life of her church. She participated in the music program and was always ready to share her talents with the congregation. While at Grace she directed the Cherub and Covenant children’s choirs, led music for Vacation Bible School, and sang with the Chancel Choir. In the 1980s, she discovered handbells and her true passion. She played in and later directed the Canterbury Bells. She rang solos in church as well as solo concerts and participated in community bell choirs. This warm and loving woman with the sparkling brown eyes is survived by Ellen, David (James), Gary (Danny), son-in-law Don (Susan), sister Lois, sister-in-law Billie, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces. She was preceded in death by her daughter Susan. A celebration of life is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on December 14 at Grace United Methodist Church (NE corner of Gilbert and University). A reception will follow in the Fellowship Hall. Please join us as we celebrate Patricia’s life.
