Peter Vaughn Jansen Jr., 71, of Mesa, AZ passed away August 13, 2020. He was born October 24, 1948 in Omaha, Nebraska to Peter Vaughn Sr and Virginia [Halboth] Jansen. Peter attended Fremont High School, graduating with the class of 1968. Right after high school, Peter was drafted into the US Army, serving in Vietnam with the 101st Airborne 9th Infantry Division; he returned to the United States in December of 1970. On March 29, 1971, Peter met Patricia Graham, and were later married on August 24, 1972. He loved everything to do with motorcycles and would frequently attend the motorcycle swap meets and belonged to the Antique Motorcycle Club. Peter is survived by his loving wife, Patty Jansen, daughter, Pandy Anne Jansen; son, Paul Josef (Elizabeth) Jansen; grandchildren, Alexander, Andrew, Payton, Parker and Rylee Jansen; his sister, Carol (Keith) Perry; brother, Fred (Mary) Jansen as well as several nieces and nephews. Peter was preceded in death by his parents, Peter Sr. and Virginia and his son, Peter Vaughn III. Arrangements entrusted to Mariposa Gardens.
