Born in Glendale, Arizona in 1930, he joined the U.S. Navy at age 19, proudly serving to provide support in the Inchon Invasion during the Korean War. In civilian life, he traveled the world as a Field Engineer for Motorola before returning to settle in Scottsdale, Arizona. He chose to give up his love of travel and took on a new role at Motorola so that he could be with his family. His passion for technology continued throughout his life. He was an active member of Grace Baptist Church in Scottsdale, Arizona, which provided love and support to the entire Bayless family.
He is survived by Boonmee Bayless, his wife of 50 years of Scottsdale, Arizona, daughter, Linda Louise Bayless of Stone Ridge, Virginia, a niece and three nephews that he became a second father to, and many other family members. He is predeceased by his father, Cressie Clyde Bayless, mother, Gladys Bell, brother, Raymond Marion Bayless, and sister, Mildred Catherine McGill.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am, on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at the Grace Baptist Church, 7934 East Oak Street, Scottsdale, Arizona 85257.
