Regina Shirley (Young) Pringle, died in Mesa, AZ Jan. 13, 2019. She was born on Jan. 18, 1923 in Rock Island, IL to Olive and Edward Young. She and her parents moved to a farm near Alpha, IL where she attended elementary school. She was educated in Rock Island, graduating in 1941. She met the love of her life Richard H. Pringle in 1942, married in 1943 and began a family. Richard was in the military during the early years of their marriage, and later worked for Illinois Bell, while Regina balanced working and being a homemaker, adventurer, traveler, scout leader, foster parent, sewing expert, craftsperson, involved grandparent, and neighbor. After retirement they traveled in their motor home to destinations far and near and settled in Mesa, AZ. Richard died suddenly in June 2005. Regina continued to live in Mesa until her death. Regina is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, parents, a brother, and two sisters. Regina is survived by her four children, Russell (Maria) Pringle, David (Peggy) Pringle, Cheri (Terry) Wiley, and Linda (Timothy) Jewett; and her grandchildren, Kari (Bryan) Rice, Kim Pitman, Russell (Jane) Pringle, Matthew Bryan, Michelle Hill, Rick (Tanya) Hill, Jamison Hill; and her great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Rice, Shelby Pitman and her brother Ti, Lance Pringle and Grace Pringle, Noelle Bryan, DaeGuen Bryan, AnNa Bryan, Ayla Hill.; and her great, great grandchildren Striker and Hadleigh Pitman. Services will be conducted Jan. 28, 2019 at 2pm at Mariposa Gardens Cemetery Chapel, 6747 E. Broadway Rd, Mesa, AZemory
