Richard Francis Citterman

Richard Frances Citterman, known to friends as Rich, passed away at the Chandler Hospice of the Valley on March 28, 2025 at the age of 68. He retired from his career in electronics in 2022, his happiest day ever!

Richard was born on July 19, 1956, in Salem, Oregon, and spent his formative years in and around Alsip, Illinois. He moved to Phoenix, AZ in 1978 and started his career in the electronics industry. He was preceded to the afterlife by his only child, Patricia Citterman, who passed away suddenly in June of 2023. He is survived by his ex-wife, Christy Citterman, and 13 orphan kitties.

Richard was a kind, helpful, and spirted soul who had many passions. He had love for cats, and could never ignore a hungry or homeless cat. To many he was known as the Cat man. Another one of his passions were sports cars, Corvettes being his favorite. Richard could never say no to friends or family if they needed help, he would come over at the drop of a hat. He was the electronic techie, always having to have the latest and greatest gadgets: computers, TV’s, etc. He was very handy and quite the go to person.

Richard was so kind and passionate, and made an impact on many lives. He will be forever missed.

There will be no memorial service, but a celebration of life to be held in the future.
