Richard's father, Calvin Gutierrez preceded him in death
Richard is survived by his mother Vivian Gutierrez, brother's Calvin Gutierrez Jr., Vince Gutierrez, Johnny Gutierrez, Joseph Ramirez, Charles Ramirez and his children that he fathered and those he raised as his own, as well as all his grandchildren in death.
Richard worked as a contractor for construction and flooring for many years of his life.
He was a person of such good spirits, always laughing and joking and always wearing the biggest smile on his face.
If someone was in need, he was always there to offer a hand, if you didn't have a shirt, he would literally take the one off his back and give it to you.
He loved music, especially his oldies.
He had many ups and downs in life, but he always persevered.
He will be greatly missed as he was loved by so many.
As the song by Los Lonely Boy's goes "How far is Heaven" now you know Gumby.
