Due to a sudden lack of competent maintenance personnel in the next life, Richard Harlon Leix danced his way up to the heavens to fill the need. As a skilled Jack of all trades, he will ensure the brilliance of the afterlife for the rest of us.
Richard, 88, originally from Fostoria, Michigan, was most recently a resident of Mesa, Arizona. He was born in Mayville, Michigan on January 26th,1938 to Wilfred and Madeline Leix. He graduated from Millington High School in 1956. He married Lynda Lee of Millington on December 17th, 1960. In December of 2025 Richard and Lynda welcomed friends and family to celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary.
Richard worked as a farmer, a mechanic, then as a hospital security officer, and later, as part of the Dreamland Posse, he patrolled and protected his retirement community. Richard had a passion for dancing and for flying his personal aircraft.
He is survived by his wife, Lynda, and his two sons; Dale of Damascus, Oregon, and Phillip (Nohemi) of Humble, Texas, two grandchildren; Lee and Amin, and four great grandchildren; Kaitlyn, Fatima, Aide, and Sophia.
He will be forever loved and missed by his family and all of the many, many people whose lives he touched.
Lynda reminded him, before he left, to save a dance for her for when they meet again.
