

He was born on December 27, 1934 in Buffalo, New York to Irwin Adolph and Margaret (Caylor) Seel, the youngest of 6 children. He was raised in Buffalo, where he also graduated from High School; he then joined the US Air Force, serving honorably until his retirement from the Air Force, then he started working for General Dynamics, enjoying another full career there. He enjoyed working for General Dynamics, and did several projects for the Department of Defense and NASA, and upon his retirement, the Department of Defense would frequently call him to help on projects. It was during his time in the Air Force that Dick went on a blind date with Hazel Stiff while he was stationed in England, and they wed in September of 1961. He enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing, fishing when stationed in South Dakota, and yard projects.
Dick is survived by his wife, Hazel; grandson Arran Seel; sister Joan Lombard of San Diego; brother Donald Seel of Buffalo, NY, numerous nieces and nephews, and his childhood friend Roland Bush.
A viewing/ visitation will be held on December 23, from 4-8pm at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park. Private Inurnment with Air Force honors will be held at a later date at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
