

Bob married Dolores McNeely on October 24, 1952. They enjoyed 58 wonderful years together before Dolores passed away in 2011.
Bob worked as a mechanic and enjoyed restoring cars in his free time. His favorite car was a 64 Corvette Convertible. Bob and Dolores enjoyed square dancing when they first moved to the Valley and traveling in their RV. Bob was also part of the Superstition Square Wheelers camping group.
Bob is survived by his daughters, Brenda Andrews (Alan) and Sheila Vohs; grandchildren, Amanda Andrews, Bryan Andrews, and Alexis Vohs; sisters, Bertha Sharp and Hazel Johnson; brothers, John Friedman, Henry Friedman, Alvin Friedman, Glen Friedman, and Richard Friedman. He is preceded in death by his wife, Dolores; father Tony Friedman; mother, Olive Friedman; brothers, Harold Friedman and Charles Friedman; and sister, Pearl Meister.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 8 at 11:30 am at Melcher Mortuary Chapel of the Roses, 43 S Stapley Dr, Mesa, AZ 85204. Visitation will be held from 10:30 am-11:30 am. A graveside service with Military Honors will be held at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85024 at 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Bob’s name to St. Jude or the Arthritis Foundation.
