bravely battling multiple myeloma for several years.
Bob was born on December 30th, 1939, to Arthur and Madge Henninger in Cozad, Nebraska.
After graduating High School, he decided to honor his country and enlist in the Armed Forces.
Bob served nearly 10 years in the Navy where he was commended for his integrity and
exemplary service in the field of communications during the Vietnam war. After his honorable
discharge in 1967, he made his way back to Cozad where he reunited with his High School
sweetheart, Lois Moore. The two were married in 1970 and moved to California. While they
enjoyed the sunshine for a few years, they decided they were too far from family and moved
with their two children, Brent and Brenda, to Colorado where they spent the next 20 years.
During that time Bob went into business for himself selling trucks, cars, and horse trailers. Bob
always loved being on the water, for enjoyment trips to the lake with his boat and vacations at
Lake Powell were favorite activities. As the two started to think about retirement, they decided
to move to Arizona to enjoy the lakes and warm winters. While boating remained a favorite
pastime, Bob also took up golf and enjoyed riding his quad through the desert. He retired from
Enron in 2005 but was always kept busy helping out with his three grandsons that lived locally.
Bob is preceded in death by his mother, Madge, his father, Arthur, and his brother LeeRoy
Henninger. He is survived by his wife Lois, son Brent (Jolene) Henninger, daughter Brenda (Burt)
Griner, six grandchildren, four great grandchildren and his sister Marilyn Ostendorf.
A celebration of his life will be held at 10:00am on Thursday December 30th, 2021 at Dignity
Memorial. Following the service, Bob will be laid to rest at the Veterans National Memorial
Cemetery in Phoenix, Arizona.
