

Born in Phoenix, Arizona on June 17, 1937, Robert attended South Mountain High School and soon after married the love of his life Georgina Encinas. They began their family right away and had three children, Robert John Urquidez, Gabriel Victor Urquidez and Geraldine Stih. He was an automotive painter for several dealerships including Bud Beck Pontiac, Pitre Buick and Earnhardt Ford. He would also paint several vehicles for family and friends on the side, including his brother-in-law (George Encinas) plane. In his later years, Wholesale Roofing Company employed him where he painted roof tiles and company vehicles.
A weekend would typically find Robert firing up the grill and making his famous Chicken Wings or Chuck Steak. His drink of choice was Coors and he enjoyed all comedy movies and a good Western movie.
Robert enjoyed taking the family up to Rocky Point for a summer vacation using his trailer that he painted and named “Sancho”. Other summer vacations would include taking the family camping up North along with extended family members.
After Robert retired he loved to go shopping. He owned many belts and loved wearing his cowboy boots in his younger years.
Robert loved his grandchildren Gabriel Victor Urquidez Jr., Nathaniel Stih, Nikolai Stih and Brandon Stih.
Robert is preceded in death by his father, Robert, and his mother, Francis, brothers Manual, Richard, Arnold, sisters Carmen Garcia, Francesca Urquidez and Eliza Caswell. He is survived by his wife Georgina, his three children, Robert, Gabriel and Geraldine (John), and several nieces and nephews.
Those who love and knew him well knew Robert as “Beto”. Roberts love, sense of humor, and kindness lives on inside us forever.
