Roger had a large sailing ketch. In December a few years before his demise.  we sailed the boat from San Diego, Ca.  to Cabo San Lucas. Mexico.  That was the highlight of my sailing experience. I still think of that trip. Wish he was here to do that again.

I met Roger early when he first came to phoenix. He bought a 21 Ft. sail boat and joined our fleet. We had parties  as well as sail boat races. I really enjoyed my time with Roger. After he bought the big Sailing Yacht, I sailed with him up and down the west coast and  then we sailed the boat from San Diego, CA to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. That was  a wonderful time. I always visited Roger every time I got back to Arizona. I Miss him.

I always like Rog, I met him in 83 and knew him until he died. I lived with him for 9 months in 83 and we had a lot of fun. We (my wife Gabrielle and I) visited him in Havasu when he lived there, and we went boating in San Diego a lot on his boat and mine. Miss him.
Wendell Moate

Roger and I were friends for  many years. It may have been  as long as fifty years. We went on ski trips, went boating and  flying.  We visited each other many times. He will be missed. 

We first met Roger since the early 1980's and have been friends ever since.  Both Wendell and Roger had a love for boats,  Wendell power boats and Roger sailboats. We spent many weekends together boating out of San Diego and Mexico and going on various trips out of the country.  Roger was always a lot of fun and a good person to be around. We were fortunate enough to have talked to Roger about a week before he passed. He will be sorely missed.

I first met Roger about twenty years ago when he visited New Zealand with his three other mates, Wendell, Frank and Wayne.
They came visiting in a campervan they had hired to tour New Zealand.   As I was a mate of Wendell they all visited home where they were fed and watered
as required.
Roger was a true gentleman and friend who I am priveledged to have met.
I am sad to hear of his passing and I hope he gets the send off he deserves.  My condolences to his family and friends he will be missed of that I am sure.
