

Ronald John Christianson was born January 18, 1931 to Ralph and Helen (Beck) Christianson at rural Grant County, Minnesota. He attended country school for 8 years, and then continued on to Morris, MN to the Morris Agricultural School. In 1952 he was drafted into the Army Artillery. During his leave he married Julianne G. Folkedal on April 11, 1953 at Elbow Lakes 1st Lutheran Church. After a 7 day honeymoon, he was sent to Korea to serve with the U.S. Army Artillery. After his discharge, he returned to MN and attended the State School of Science in Wahpeton, ND earning a degree in Auto Body Repair. Ronald and Julie resided and raised 3 children in rural Grant County; Paula Elaine, Marie Helen, and John Ronald. He loved farming, golfing, snowmobiling, and John Deere tractors and equipment. He enjoyed meeting and visiting people. He is survived by his children; Paula Christianson of Mesa, AZ, Marie Christianson (Frank) of Aurora, CO; John (Marlene) Christianson of Waterloo, NE; granddaughters Sabrina Marie (Jeremiah) of Aurora CO, and is also survived by sisters-in-law Doris Caranicus of St. Paul, MN, Norma (Jim) Postudensek of Duluth, MN, and stepbrother-in-law Harold Hanson of Minnetonka, MN, and many nieces and nephews family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Helen Christianson and his in-laws; Julian and Bernice Folkedal and stepfather-in-law Clarence Hanson, brother and sister-in-law Rodney (Pat) Christianson, sister Joycelyn (Roger) Dickey and brother-in-law Perry Caranicus.
