Sandra Diane Hamberg

Sandra Diane Hamberg passed away August 19, 2026 at home at the age of 84 with her family by her side. She fought stage four metastatic cancer for three years. Sande was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother , sister and friend. Sande grew up in Red Wing, Minnesota with her younger sister Shirley. She worked at many different schools over her 37 years special education teaching career. She had a bachelors degree in French and a masters degree in special education. Sande lived a full amazing life. She enjoyed traveling with her husband Glenn,church, enjoying time with her grandkids , Mahjong, directing church choir, volunteering to help foster children for 10 years with the organization CASA, and she loved movies and theater, and so much more. Sande had a deep love for animals and always had several dogs and cats too. Sande is survived by her husband of 64 years Glenn, her daughter, Holli, grandchildren Perry, and Tessa, sister Shirley and brother-in-law David, and extended family. She was loved very much and will be missed by many.
