Her life journey began on April 6, 1926 in Bari, Italy as Santa Baccellieri and ended in Mesa, Arizona on February 15, 2011. With her 7 children at her bedside, she was surrounded by the same love and devotion she had always lavished upon them. She came to America in 1934 settling in Portland, Oregon. She went on to become Valedictorian of her class at Commerce High School in 1944, receiving a full academic scholarship to Reed College. A lover of music and dance, she also received a music scholarship to Marylhurst College and an offer to perform in the national radio program of Red Skelton. She moved to Phoenix in 1954 with her husband, the late James Edward Perry. Her well-trained and beautiful alto voice became a regular addition at the Phoenix Little Theatre where she graced the stage in numerous musical theater productions. She began her successful 40-year career in Real Estate in 1958. Of all her many accomplishments, she was the proudest of being mother to the seven children who survive her: Rosanne Perry, John F. Perry, James J. Perry, Marianne Perry, Christine Goldsmith, Janine Perry, and Daniel Thomas Perry and her ten adoring grandchildren: Roya Dennis, Kevin Perri-Maroufkhani, Erin Perry, Daniel James Perry, Sean Goldsmith, Alan Perry, Daniel Thomas Perry, Jr., Alexander Guerrero, Cary Goldsmith, and Hannah Guerrero, and a great granddaughter, Nahokulani Dennis. Her two surviving brothers, Michael Baccellieri and Rev. Joseph Baccellieri, both of Portland and 8 surviving nieces and nephews also mourn her passing. Santa Perry will be missed by many as she did much good in this world. She has gone to her heavenly father, and we entrust her to his care. Rest in peace, dear Santa. We will love you Always.
