Born August 23, 1950, in Price, Utah, daughter of Ruth Laree Willis and Benny Charles Wharff. Married Robert George Eden on November 29, 1968. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Jordan River LDS Temple on February 14, 1996.
Sherrie worked in the medical billing department at Bryner Clinic and Granger Medical Clinic for most of her working life. She later became a seminary teacher and taught at the High Schools for a year. She was also a seamstress for many years.
Sherrie loved going on road trips with her family. Everything from going to National Parks, rough camping, Disneyland to Ghost Towns out in the middle of nowhere. She loved the discovery of it all.
Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting, and sewing. She loved making sweaters, booties, blankets, and blessing outfits for her grandchildren, other family members and friends. Sherrie was also very passionate about making clothing and blankets for the Sewing for Babies Foundation.
Sherrie had great faith and was devoted to the LDS church. She worked in various callings, most of which involved the youth such as Young Women’s Leader, and Sunday School youth teacher. She was a Family History Consultant for many, many years. It was her greatest passion to know all about her family history. Whether it was on a trip or watching a historical movie, she would always comment, “we are related to that person.”
The family wants to thank the Infusion Nurses, Vicki and Courtney, and all the other countless medical personnel at Virginia G. Piper Cancer Care Center, who helped her through her battle with cancer. What an awesome uplifting group they were for Sherrie.
Survived by children, Robert, Shelly, Idaho; Brenda (Phil), Sunset, Utah; Michelle (Shane) Mesa, Arizona. 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brothers, John and Robert and sisters Nancy and Jodi. Preceded in death by husband, Robert George Eden and grandson Dane Gregory Eden.
