

She was the daughter of Mr. Henry C. Barker and Estha M. Barker
She was married to David E. Garland for over 38 years.
She was a sister to her brother, Henry C. (Clay) Barker Jr.
She was a loving aunt to her nieces; Sara, Gemilea and her nephew Henry-Thomas Barker.
She was an aunt to Adam and Joe Garland and to her great-nephew Alexander as well as to Ashland, a great niece.
A loving aunt to Jason Stephen and to her nieces; Beth, Jennie and Laura Cathcart.
She was a dedicated and supportive wife who accompanied her husband to several destinations throughout his service in the military and professional life.
She was a drum major for the school band in Crystal City High School in Texas where she also played the piccolo.
She attended Texas A&I. She earned her bachelor degree in Education.
Later, she taught for few years at Del Rio.
Sherry was a loving human being who showed kindness to others and touched their lives. In addition, she was a compassionate person who demonstrated her concerns for all creatures during her life. She was only satisfied with her life when she was sharing it with her pets.
What a great trainer Sherry was! She taught many skills to all of them.
Our dear Sherry was a wonderful and patient teacher with her foreign sister-in-law Corina, a native from Peru. She diligently taught her to adapt into a new culture with success. Thank you.
