Shirley Anne Jones was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on March 19, 1938. She graduated from Northeast High School in Lincoln, Nebraska. She then studied to become an LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) and then went on to become an RN (Registered Nurse.) She worked in Brian Memorial Hospital in Lincoln. Several years later she decided to move to Arizona. Most of her nursing years were at Banner Hospital in Mesa. She retired at 59, mostly due to having injured her back in her profession.
Her faith was strong in the salvation of Jesus. She did not fear death but was eager to be face to face with Jesus. On her last day she was surrounded by loving friends who gave her great comfort.
Shirley is survived by her brother Fred Jones and his wife, Janelle; two nephews, four grandnieces and one grandnephew in Oklahoma. Her father, mother and sister preceded her in death.
