

She was born in France on August 30, 1930. Simone and her family survived World War II and the Nazi invasion of her hometown. She recalled to her grandchildren things that happened to her family and neighbors. One time she was down in the root cellar getting vegetables and found guns. Fearing for her families' safety, she quickly buried the resistance's guns.
She married her husband Humbert at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Eastchester, New York on January 27, 1952. They had one child, a daughter.
She remarried, years later to Joseph Stringer and they lived between Easton, Maryland and Mesa, Arizona. Upon his passing, Simone returned to Mesa permanently to be with family and friends.
Simone loved fashion, sewing, tatting, and crocheting. Many blankets were made for family and friends when she was doing private duty at the hospital.
She is survived by her daughter Elise, her grandson Andrew, and his wife Kelley. Her granddaughter Ariane and husband Michael. She has 3 great grand daughters Lucia, Antonia, and Grace and a sister in france with 3 daughters and grand nephew and grand nieces.
She will be interred at the Gate of Heaven Cemetary in Hawthorne, New York.
