It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Mother and Nana, Stella Quintanares, who passed away peacefully in her home on August 23, 2026, in Mesa, Arizona surrounded by the love of her family.
She was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother and proud great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joe, her two sons, James and John and her grandson Jake Quintanares, whom she carried in her heart every day. Though their absence left an everlasting void, her faith in God gave her strength, comfort, and hope throughout her life.
She was blessed with 7 children, 7 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense love and pride. Her family was her greatest accomplishment, and she treasured every moment spent with them. Her love, wisdom, strength and unwavering faith will continue to live on through the generations she helped shape.
A homemaker by heart, she devoted much of her life to caring for her family and creating a warm and loving home. She found joy in the simple blessings of life. She loved spending time in her garden, watching things grow and bloom, and she was known for the love she poured into her cooking. Her kitchen was a place where family gathered, stories were shared, and memories were made.
Her deep faith in God was at the center of her life. She trusted in His love and found comfort in her faith, especially during life’s most difficult moments. Her faith was reflected in the way she loved others – with kindness, compassion, generosity and grace.
She was also incredibly proud of her accomplishments and involvement with TOPS #AZ405 for over 40 years. Through her participation, she contributed to her community, formed meaningful friendships and made a lasting impact on those around her.
She was loved by many and will be remembered for her strength, her generous heart, her faith, her laughter, her cooking, her beautiful garden, and, most of all, the love she gave so freely to her family.
Although our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort knowing that she is at peace and reunited with her beloved husband, sons and grandson. Her earthly journey may have come to an end, but the love she gave and the memories she created will remain with us forever.
Until we meet again, Mom/Nana. You will forever be loved, forever missed and forever in our hearts.
