Steve was born on January 19, 1973, in Denver, Colorado. He grew up in Erie, Colorado and graduated from Erie High School in 1991. Shortly after graduation, Steve proudly served his country in the military and was stationed in Germany. In 1994, he attended Northeastern Junior College (NJC).
Steve was a hardworking man. Over the years, he worked for the Sterling Journal Advocate, Holloways, Kenny Electric, and Greiner Electric before eventually working independently doing electrical and odd jobs for those in his community. He took pride in helping others whenever he could.
Anyone who knew Steve knew his unforgettable sense of humor. He loved making people laugh, was famous for giving “the bird,” and always had a way of bringing smiles to those around him. He was an avid Denver Broncos and Nebraska Cornhuskers fan and enjoyed watching UFC. He also had a lifelong love for dogs, who brought him comfort and companionship throughout his life.
More than anything, Steve loved his family. He was a proud and loving father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. His greatest joy came from the people he loved most.
Steve is survived by his father, Roger Schneckloth; his daughter, AshLynn Schneckloth; his beloved grandchildren, Alayah Arriola and Angelo Arriola; his daughter, Alexie Gamez; his sister, Stacey (Steve) Eichinger; and his niece and nephew, Colton and Chloe Eichinger.
Steve’s presence, laughter, and love will be deeply missed every day. Though our hearts are broken, we will forever hold onto the memories, stories, and moments we shared with him. His spirit will continue to live on through all those who loved him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Colorado.
To honor Steve's life and support the family, remembrances may be made in the form of contributions to AshLynn Schneckloth; 703 Jackson St. Sterling, CO. 80751.
