Steve was such a sweet and loving guy and also had that wicked sense of humor.  I was a friend of his from the 501st Legion Star Wars charity costuming group and he was really great at making people comfortable when we were all hanging out in groups.  When I’d be hanging out with my girlfriends he would always protect us.  I will miss him.

I'm shocked and so deeply sad to hear this news. 😥 I use to work security with Steve. He was such a kind, friendly, funny, chill, cool guy. 

It was always nice to see his smiling face, because you knew when Steve was on shift, the job would get done right and the mood would be light. He was just a good, decent guy. 

He was generous with helpful information at work. He seemed to know everyone but he had no malice for anyone. If anyone ever managed to tick Steve off, they darn well deserved it, because he never went looking for drama or trouble. 

He had a lowkey wry sense of humor. He could make us all chuckle and he was a natural at de-escalating situations. He exuded a very calming, reassuring energy. (Besides the fact that he got some of us good with jump scares once or twice! 😆) 

Steve loved his family, including his whole extended family, and he truly enjoyed their company. It was so clear in the way he would smile when he talked about them. In particular, he enjoyed spending time with his son. He truly liked his son as a person, and he was so very proud of him.  My heart goes out to his beloved wife and son, and everyone he left behind.

I remember when Steven was born, I was just going back into the Army and my first assignment was Germany. I had to go first and then Ethel and Steven followed. I remember the first winter we were in Steven got real sick, he got croup cough. The closest Army hospital was 40 miles away, I drove him there and then we had to come back home because visiting hours were over. Ethel and I went every day and stayed with him. They had to keep him in an oxygen tent and we had to talk to him through the plastic. I remember he was so very sick I was afraid we were going to loose him them. But after seven days in the hospital a miracle happen, we got a call from the hospital that we could come and pick him up. I just happen to Christmas Day, so I went to go get him and Ethel stayed home to get the tree and presents ready for Stevens home coming. That was one of the greatest home coming and Christmas ever. Steven I love you and miss you so much all ready, I miss you.

I was fortunate enough to work with Steve for many years.  He was a constant source of calm and good energy for our team and our carriers.   I was so deeply saddened to hear the news of his passing, He will be extremely missed by all and remembered as a great friend, team member and colleague. I was fortunate to work with Steve in the CASS team at Ready Logistics for just shy of a year.  I remember whenever I would ask a question in teams, Steve was always the first one to answer the call. He was smart and funny, had a good sense of humor and mind that seemed to remember everything. He was the "Trivia King" of our department.  His humor and presence will be sorely missed by us each and every day. Prayers and thoughts to his family and friends.

I didn't get a chance to work with Steve for a long amount of time but from the time I did work with him he was a kind and funny guy!  Wish I could have known him longer.  You will be missed on the Ready team Steve, love and prayers go out to your family.   Rachel Lopez- Ready Logistics
