“Andy” was born June 16, 1953, to Harris P. Blomeyer, Jr. and Ruth (Stewart) Blomeyer in Peoria IL. He graduated from Gerard Catholic High School, and Grand Canyon College (now University), both in Phoenix, AZ.
Andy was a creative soul who faced a lifetime of medical challenges with resilience and courage. He had a unique perspective, and he especially enjoyed his friends and being a part of a community with similar interests in poetry, art, music, theater and fantasy. These activities were more than a pastime for Andy, they were an expression of his spirit and loyalty. Always eager to make new friends, Andy was quick with a joke and a smile and sometimes a hug.
Andy was predeceased by his parents, and stepmother, Nancy Kirk Blomeyer. He is survived by his sister Jenny Caruso, her husband Armand, five step-siblings and three cousins.
