Susan was a quiet and reserved woman with a witty sense of humor. Her family meant the world to her and she meant the world to her family. Susan was a devoted, supportive, and loving mom and “G-Ma”. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Susan loved animals and was a dedicated dog mom to her sweet golden retriever Salsa.
Susan was an avid reader and also enjoyed watching a good movie or TV show. She was a trendy grandma who loved new and old music and even attended a pop concert with her son and grandson last year. Susan was also an Elvis fan and visited Graceland.
Susan worked for many years in retail, starting with J.C. Penney and then went on to work in the Accounting Department for Rockford Fosgate. During her time with Rockford, she was able to travel to places like Cyprus and Hong Kong, which she enjoyed.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Ida Blanton, sister De Etta, and brothers Raymond and Gene, as well as her beloved husband of 40 years, Robert Thomas Trueba. She is survived by her son, Scott (Danielle), daughter, Wendy, brothers, Pat, Jerry (Kelly), and Mike (DeLisa) as well as 7 grandchildren, Luke, Calvin, Aiden, Emma, Lily, Liam, and Logan.
Her children and grandchildren love and miss her deeply.
