Theresa Carolyn Ranweiler

arms of her Savior on April 18, 2022. She was born on January 11, 1931 to

Caroline and Ignatius Voeller in Rugby, ND. Theresa was remarkably the

youngest of 19 children. Her life centered around service to her family, and

she was foremost a seeker who found wisdom and peace through her deep

Catholic faith. Terry dearly loved her husband of 62 years, Ken, and delighted

in being a mother to her 6 children and their spouses, Karen, Jeff (Jane), Ken

(Patty), Jo Ann (Tom), Jean Ann (Paul) and Eric (Sandy). She cherished her

19 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and will be especially missed by her

remaining brother Leonard and his wife Betty, multiple nieces and nephews,

and special family friends; Mark Guanson and the Geng family.

In Terry’s last months, many of her 6 children and grandchildren came from

near and far to celebrate her life and enjoy a final conversation with their

beloved and still witty grandmother who kept her sense of humor to the end.

Terry was an excellent cook, and her caramel and poppyseed rolls were divided

up with great precision amongst the watchful eyes of all potential recipients.

She was wonderful with little ones, and made each child feel special. As a

young woman she earned her RN degree and worked as a nurse for several

years, but mostly called upon these skills throughout her life in raising her large

family. She loved to travel with her husband Ken, often hauling 6 kids with a

trailer and Vista Cruiser to explore the West and Disneyland of course. They

greatly appreciated their many business/pleasure trips to Europe through Ken’s

job as well as the friendships that resulted from these journeys. In retirement

they kept their sense of adventure and were ardent cruisers.

We will miss her strength, her willingness to always be there with her motherly

comfort, countless backrubs, smiles and ever attentive ear to ease our

burdens. Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ken, 17

siblings, daughter-in-law Susanna and granddaughter Stephanie.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at All Saints Catholic Church, 1534 N Recker

Rd in Mesa, AZ on Friday April 29, at 10:00 AM with a reception following

services. Private burial at National VA Cemetery of Arizona on Tuesday, May

3 at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to EWTN

or the Marian Fathers of the Divine Mercy.
