Thomas Michael Buchanan

Thomas Michael Buchanan, age 64, passed away unexpectedly on December 02, 2016 in Chandler, AZ. Tom was born and raised in Duluth, MN to Donald and Helen Buchanan. Tom graduated from Proctor High School in Proctor, MN and then went on to attend Seattle Bible College. In his younger years Tom was a member of the Duluth Gospel Tabernacle. Tom is survived by his loving spouse, Michael Ernest Garrett, two step-daughters, Lori (David) Shaw and Michelle (Tim) Kirby; his 5 wonderful step-grandchildren; his mother Helen, brothers, John (Jennifer) Buchanan, Gerald (Anna) Buchanan, William Buchanan and Peter Buchanan, sisters, Marie (Paul) Gagne, and Louise (Neal) Larsen. Tom is preceded in death by his father Donald. Tom was a private pilot with small aircraft and in his most recent years he was a supervisor with Sky Harbor T.S.A. He became a lover of cats and in the most recent years he has rescued three homeless cats, Boomer being his favorite. Tom loved to travel, go fishing, vacation in Hawaii and Florida, going camping in Minnesota. He traveled in Europe with his mother, was a fanatic about keeping up to date with current computer technology, and he always read the instruction manuals to everything. A Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 13, 2016 from 5:00- 9:00pm at Lakeshore Mortuary, 1815 S Dobson Rd, Mesa, AZ. A second Visitation will be, Wednesday, December 14, 2016 from 10:00-11:00am at Lakeshore Mortuary with a Funeral Service to follow at 11:00am.
