Surviving are his mother, Norma Kjeldgaard of Mesa, Arizona and his father, Charles Buzzard and wife Joan of Lakeway, Texas.
Tom lived in Burbank, California; New Concord, Ohio; Lubbock, Texas; and Tempe, Arizona. He attended McClintock High School in Tempe and Phoenix College in Phoenix, Arizona.
He was very active in the Society of Creative Anachronism and studied the costumes of the medieval period. Tom performed annually at the renaissance fair in Mesa, Arizona for over 10 years.
Tom was an avid reader, always with a book in his pocket. Over the years his interests were wide spread
ranging from science fiction to military history. His hobbies included the recreation of World War battles with his friends as well as medieval reenactments.
He is survived by cousins, Richard and Maura Buzzard of New York, John and Fiona Buzzard, James Buzzard, Christina and Jason Benz, all of California.
