Dickey, Jr., Thomas 88, of Gold Canyon, Az passed away on October 26, 2013. Tom enlisted in the Army in 1943 and served in WWII, 92nd Infantry Division, as a Buffalo Soldier. He spent time in combat duty in Italy. He also served in the Korean Conflict. After the service, he earned a Bachelor's degree from Arizona State University and later received a Master's as a Psychiatric Social Worker from Case-Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. During his career, he worked at various agencies, including the Urban League, Dept. of Interior and Housing and Urban Development. After he retired, he worked as Executive Director of Tanner Chapel Nursing Home. Tom enjoyed traveling with his wife and spending time at their cabin in Pinetop. He is survived by his wife of 30 yrs., Darline, son Thomas, daughter Leslie (Jon) Cloud, step son Alan (Teri) Majeski, grandchildren Alexa and Joshua Cloud, niece Linda, nephew Larry and many beloved cousins and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas,Sr. and Mayme, sister Lucille, step son Bobby Majeski. A private family memorial service is planned.
