Age, 66, of Mesa, AZ passed away on January 27, 2012. Thomas was born on December 30, 1945 in Newark, NJ. He earned his master's degree in education from ASU. Thomas served in the Navy from 1969-1977. During the Vietnam War, he served as a sergeant in the Navy. He also worked for 30 years as an algebra teacher in the Kearney and Mesa School Districts. Thomas married Sharon Combs on December 30, 1987 at the 1st Christian Church in Chandler, AZ. He is survived by his mother, Shirley Barrett, his wife, Sharon Finn, his daughters; Mikayla (Ted) and Tammy (K.C.) and grandchildren; Natalie, Blake, Garrett, Brenda, Chase, and Troy. A memorial service will be held at Melcher Chapel of the Roses, 43 S. Stapley Dr. Mesa, AZ 85204 on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 11:00am.
