Thomas was born in Houston, TX on September 20, 1949. Thomas graduated from Fairmont West High School in Kettering, Ohio and received his bachelor's degree from University of LaVerne.
Thomas married Carolynn Foltz on November 26, 1971 in Colorado Springs, CO. Thomas worked for 35 years for his own insurance agency, Northwest Classic Insurance, LLC and had a passion for collector cars.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Carolynn, his children: Steven and Peter Foltz, his grandchildren: Camera, Madison, and Maxine Foltz, his great-grandchild, Steel Foltz, and his niece, Terry Sturm, who Thomas grew up with.
